Wake Up and Smell The Rainbows
As I drove down to Malibu last week to meet up with Michaela, it was tipping it down with rain. The PCH no longer looked cinematic and majestic, but grey, wet and kind of like Wales on a bad day. No offence Wales. And yet as soon as we got out of the car, the sun started peeking through the clouds and within no time, Malibu was back to its bright, blue self and back to being one of my favourite places in the whole world. What I would do to wake up to this everyday…. I feel like any worries and stresses are instantly soothed by a walk down one of Malibu’s windswept beaches. I love tropical, turquoise seas don’t get me wrong, but there’s something about the rugged pacific coast line that does something to me in a different way.
I think you can tell from these shots how happy being on the beach makes me Eating watermelon and wearing rainbows and bikinis definitely helps too. I really was born on the wrong continent wasn’t I… But just having a day barefoot in the Californian sand makes me feel very, very lucky indeed.
