New In Floral Dresses To Live In
Floral dresses in the height of summer might not be ground breaking, but they’re definitely an essential for me. I’m a jeans and t-shirt girl yes, but the ease of throwing on a dress and feeling both feminine and free at the same time has endless appeal. So here we’ve got two newbies to my wardrobe, one slightly more spenny one from my all-time favourite Realisation Par, and the second from good old Asos.
Long sleeve mini dresses like this are a real favourite of mine. I like the balance of it all and it’s prefect for those days when it’s too hot for a jacket but not quite melting enough for some slip of a thing. Realisation Par are insanely flattering so anyone who says to me ‘I just don’t think I suit that kind of thing’, honestly you do. I never feel better than wearing one of their wrap dresses and this one is so deliciously flirty in its shape and print, you can’t help but fall for it. And if you’re not yet familiar with Veja trainers you should be. This French brand is one of the most ethical, sustainable and transparent brands on the market today and best of all, without compromising on aesthetic. I already have several more pairs in my sights; I’m a total convert. I love a mini dress with sneakers too; it’s become a real go-to staple of mine in the summer when you can’t be bothered to think or feel in anyway uncomfortable. It’s an instant mood-boosting for me wearing some thing like this; something about about it just feels super easy and, well, bouncy, without looking in anyway functional.
I couldn’t resist this little Asos floral number when I saw it. I love a mini red floral dress always and forever, and this had such sweet details and print going on, and a pretty small price to match the hemline too. Toughening up a saccharine frock with a biker jacket had been a sartorial twitch I’ve had since I was 20 so clearly it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Something about it just feels very me and very easy to wear. Just as good on holiday as it is in London, it’s dresses like this that feel beyond easy to wear, pack and generally live in over the course of the summer…
