All I Want For Christmas

Christmas shopping. Love it or loathe it, it’s as inevitable as bad mulled wine and dodgy secret Santa presents at this time of the year. And while it’s fun dipping your toe into bricks and mortar Christmas shopping at least once (if only for the lights and carols), I inevitably end up doing nearly all of my gift-buying online. Browsing from your sofa with a cup of tea in hand beats bruised elbows and sore feet any day. I start and finish the majority of my shopping at a handful of one-stop online stores, and Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter feature heavily both in terms of buying for others and guilty compiling mental ‘one day’ wishlists for myself. From beauty products and silk pyjamas for sisters and mums, to ties, cashmere jumpers and books for the men in your life, there’s not many a Porter package can’t cater for.

I teamed up with Mr Porter and Net-A-Porter to compile the ultimate wish list, be it for you (because Christmas is for receiving and not just giving after all) or some much-deserving significant others. My personal favourites have to be the Lingua Franca embroidered cashmere jumper and Tom Dixon crystal scent diffuser which combines two of my home essentials; good smells and crystals. And for the boys? If you’re feeling really, really generous, it doesn’t get much better than a Leica for most of the men I know, and that Simon Miller cardigan is worth a splurge. If only so you can beg, borrow and steal it for yourself… And if in doubt, I find a silk eye mask or a cashmere beanie normally hits the spot.
