When it comes to my body, I’m pretty low maintenance and will chuck on whatever oil, moisturiser or butter I have to hand. But I’ll admit I’m more a hoarder when it comes to incredible skincare and trying new potions is one of my favourite ways to while away a night in. So I thought I’d share some of my latest favourites, all of which are at the top of their game and look just as amazing on a shelf as they feel on your face.
The first thing I have to shout out is the Diptyque Facial Oil, probably the most beautiful oil I’ve ever come across and feels thick, pure and smells like a rose garden. You might have seen the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Mask on my snapchat lately; I’m hooked. The classic serum was the first thing I splurged on when I first decided to invest a good anti-ageing product (its still the only thing in that bracket I use), and this foil mask is basically loaded with the stuff. Would be amazing on tired, post-flight skin or if you’re feeling like your face has had too much sun this summer. The little Advanced Night Repair ampoules are another great (albeit expensive) add-on if you’re wanted to bump-up your routine and add an extra layer of moisture and protection in there (they go between your serum and your night cream) although they are a bit too much when teamed with an oil.
I love mists and toners, both after cleansing and spritzed on after makeup to help set it and make it look that bit dewier. The Dr Hauschka clarifying toner is perfect after cleansing in the morning before maekup, while the Caudalie one sits on my desk and at this time of year it’s pretty much in constant use.
Lastly the Darphin Facial Sonic Cleansing and Massage Expert is a new power tool I’m trying out. I love my Foreo (not pictured) in the shower in the morning but the massage tool on this is so nice for waking your face up with a moisturiser. I once had an incredible lymphatic drainage face massage that made me more glowy than ever before so I’m a total convert when it comes to stuff like this. An investment yes, and a little gimmicky maybe, but when they work they work and this feels and looks great.
