Hermit Hole

Autumn Additions

I’m a homebody at the best of times, but come Autumn and ‘home-lover’ quickly descends into hermit. Just back from Oman’s 40 degree desert heat (lots of pictures coming soon), and I’m suddenly all over the idea of a staying in, wrapping up and making my space the best it can be.

Forget Spring cleaning (we’ve all got better things to do when the sun’s shining surely), for me, it’s about focusing on the inside when we’re all going to spend far more time there. I’m obsessed with all things velvet when it comes to homeware and have ridiculous aspirations for a teal velvet sofa one day, but until then a (surprisingly reasonable) architectural chair and cushions from one of my favourite London stores will do the job. Waffle throws, berber rugs we can actually afford, home scents designed for staying in and the good kind of winter greys complete my fantasy hermit hole.
