Fall Forward

Having just got back from a week in sunny Mallorca with £40 of overweight Easyjet fees behind me, I’ve come to the conclusion my holiday wardrobe is finally complete. So with too many bikinis and too little time, my sights have firmly turned towards the less sunnier climes of Autumn and all the new season goodness that comes with it.

Boots, knits and an abundance of black, I’m obsessing over those pieces that offer fresh twists on the classics in which to take on the transeasonal no-mans land that like it or not, we’ll soon be plunged into. With new creative director Alessandro Michele working his magic at Gucci, I’m crushing hard over the entire A/W 15 collection while Acne, Stella McCartney and Toteme are never far from my most-wanted list. Seventies-style poppers, frayed hems, bandana prints and asymetric, oversized knitwear amounts to a retro aesthetic that’s firmly rooted in the now, and most definitely under my skin for the season ahead.
