Boyhood

By the water in boyish clothes; when it comes to natural habitats, this is pretty close to mine, only usurped by denim shorts on a palm-lined beach.

After a childhood riding bikes, making dens and smelling of dogs and horses, I’m still most at home in baggy, comfy clothes made for stomping around in, even if these days the said stomping is done in McQ by Alexander McQueen creepers and Acne jeans rather than jodhpurs and wellies. A black blazer worn cape-like also helps elevate the whole thing to the good kind of androgynous while still being loose and oversized… I love it like this but am dreaming of it worn over a teeny-tiny caramel  coloured slip dress with Vans and red lips.

This is a mash-up of all my favourite things; from the neckerchief I can’t seem to take off, to the Celine trio bag I don’t know what I did without, this is pretty much an amalgamation of my tomboyish roots, London base and nautical Swiss bolt hole last week. And it turns out three isn’t a crowd at all when it comes to this eclectic trio of influences.
