Easing Into It
Transitioning is no easy matter.
Whether its a new job, a new home or a new season, that in between period of getting used to something new requires patience and persistence. Put me in 30 degrees tomorrow and I’d be ready and raring to go. But put me in breezy, unpredictable London in April and I’m all over the place. Some days I wake up and want to brave bare legs and open-toed shoes, other days only my down-filled ski jacket will do. I’m as unpredictable as the weather and more often than not, we’re on different timetables. I’m the person that gets caught sweating in a wool coat when the sun decides to appear or looks like an idiot dodging puddles in a suede skirt and sandals. I’m the Goldilocks of Spring city dressing. Still, all we can do is keep getting dressed each morning in the hope that one day we’ll have got it just right….
This is a staple Spring outfit for me. Swap the skirt for jeans and the bomber for a biker jacket and you’ve got every kind of combination I want to wear right now covered. Nothing ground-breaking or challenging, just easy, uncomplicated basics that with a bit of careful planning and on-point rotating can withstand nearly anything Spring has to throw at us.
