It’s offical: Philip Lim can do no wrong. 3.1 Philip Lim’s A/W collection was probably my favourite so far…chunky coats teamed with asymetrical floating hems and checked wool shorts made for the ultimate winter wardrobe. The shoes were insane and the odd hint of leopard print is always a winner. And could the strappy platform sandals be the new Balenciagas Rumi’s been glued to for months? You can tell Lim is a New Yorker-his clothes just seem to speak to every single woman about town; the metallic blazers and silk shorts were pure upper eats side sophistication whilst shearling coats, leather and bohemian dresses were dowtown and dishevelled in spirit whilst still be super-chic. Surely a piece of 3.1 Philip lim will be the most coveted thing in every woman’s wardrobe this winter…
Ideas I’ve alreayd been forming from the collection? Wearing a thick camel coat over glossy black leather, mid-calf length skirts and dresses (that aren’t harking from the dreaded 40s/50s trend), which I’m thinking will be the length next season, and denim on denim plus camel equals love at first sight.
